How a user opts in
SMS is disabled by default. A signed-in user enables alerts for the mobile number already on their own profile, selects a delivery schedule, and checks an "I agree" box. There is no inbound opt-in keyword — users never text a word to start. Administrators cannot opt anyone else in. Below is the consent screen the user sees:

Replica of the in-app consent screen. The Save button is disabled until "I agree" is checked. No SMS is sent until the user saves.
What messages are sent
Messages are operational notifications for the user's organization — for example, a pending equipment sign-out/return that needs approval, or an urgent environmental inspection finding. This is not marketing.
- "OneSiteKit: A new equipment sign-out request from J. Smith is awaiting your approval. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help."
- "OneSiteKit: Urgent environment inspection finding logged at North Pit. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help."
- "OneSiteKit: A return request for Radio R-014 needs your review. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help."
Message frequency & rates
Frequency varies and is event-driven — a message is sent only when a qualifying event occurs during the user's selected schedule. Message and data rates may apply per your mobile carrier; OneSiteKit does not charge for SMS.
How a user opts out
- Reply STOP to any message to cancel — a one-time confirmation is sent and no further messages follow.
- Reply HELP for assistance.
- Or set the schedule back to Off (uncheck SMS Opt-in) in Admin → Notifications at any time.
Privacy of mobile information
Your mobile number and SMS consent are used solely to deliver the notifications described above. We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile number or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Full details: SMS Notifications terms.
